This is one of my new acrylic paintings from 2009. I am very proud of it. It is actually a collage, difficult to see from the photo. When creating the painting I first layer tissue paper onto the canvas with gel medium to suggest texture. Once satisfied with the layout, I paint the image over the top of the paper collage. Fun! I was thinking about using this image for Christmas cards this year...Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Creepy Sheep
This is creepy sheep...usually she is sitting atop the hutch in my work room staring at me. She is incredibly soft and squishy and friendly. I made her a couple of years ago and took her to the office where she sat atop the computer console and stared at all who dared to enter the dispatch office. One day a ranger entered the office and looked at sheep...and his eyes got big and he stated "wow, that's creepy." Ever since then, she has been fondly known as creepy sheep. Fall in the Tetons

Welcome to Red Dog Designs, LLC. I've created this blog to talk about my most recent craft and fine-art escapades. I am currently working hard to prepare for a Christmas craft fair in Jackson Hole in December. For that fair I will offer tote bags, shoulder purses, clutches, mini-pouches, key rings, handknit hats, and notecards. I am currently developing an eco-lunch package to include reusible sandwich wraps, snack pouches, and lunch tote.
