Finally Some Progress on Moose Alley

I finally made time to work on the painting I started quite a while ago...from one of my favorite scenic spots in Grand Teton, Moose Alley. I am really thrilled with the progress...Today I worked with Turner's Yellow, white and Payne's Grey...mostly applying paint with a sponge.

First I worked with the sky to give it some texture, then started to touch up the grasses in the forefront.
Then I filled in some of the background trees and detailed in some of the more prominant trees.

I am really excited with the results. It's been a tough month...so it's nice to have something good.

  1. Wow, that painting is just fab. It occurred to me in looking at this that this is how people remembered the places they had been before cameras. You are good at this stuff.
